History

Track & Field was introduced to the Down Under International Games in 2001. The 2010 Down Under Track and Field Meet will be the 10th year for this event. Teams and athletes from the United States will compete against Australian and New Zealand teams.

Tournament

Down Under International Games Tri-Nations Meet:
July 2-4, 2010*
Griffi th University, Gold Coast Campus
  • Compete in a three day International meet
  • Each participant may enter up to fi ve events plus relays
  • Open to age groups: 14/15 years, 16/17 years, 18/19 years, and 20 years & over.
  • Age groups based on how old you will be December 31, 2010
Events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault+, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Hammer Hurdles: 100m, 110m, 200m, 300m, 400m and the 2000m Steeple
Competition rules and event registration forms will be mailed to all athletes prior to departure

* Note: Pole Vault participants are responsible to ship their poles to and from Australia. (Call ISSI offi ce for further details)

* Practice scheduled in Australia
