History:
Cheer teams have been a part of the Down Under Bowl since 1990. We have had cheer teams from all over the United States . The 2009 Down Under Bowl will be the 21st year having cheerleaders performing at the games.
Participation:
- Cheer teams will give performances at two Down Under Bowl football games; sideline cheering and a half time performance. There will also be two other performances at one of the following: a theme park, shopping mall, football – rugby, rugby league, Aussie rules game or school assembly.
- Teams that travel during the Australian school holidays will not get a school assembly performance.
- Award Presentation: All participants will receive a participation medal.
- A cheer squad consists of 16 cheerleaders.
