Cross Country

As part of the Gold Coast Airport Marathon (GCAM), Down Under Sports cross country athletes compete in the 5.7K Challenge—with the goal of arriving early enough to get our athletes to the front of the line to take full advantage of the media coverage for this event. Family and friends back home can watch all the action via webcast which is available at www.goldcoastmarathon.com.au. All entry fees for the GCAM are part of the Down Under Sports package price and each athlete must be registered by our staff by June 1st, 2013. Electronic timers and bibs will be collected and handed out to each athlete the night before the race with a snack box for the early morning departure. Each participant will also receive a t-shirt and commemorative medal upon completion of the race and return of their electronic timer to GCAM staff.

Any coaches or supporters wishing to compete in the GCAM are welcome to do so but mus pay the registration fees on their own. Available races are the marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5.7K and Junior Dash. Transportation will only be provided by Down Under Sports for those competing in the 5.7K race.
