History :
The Down Under International Games began in 1998. The first Track & Field meet took place in 2001. The 2009 Down Under Track & Field meet will be the 9th year for the events. There are athletes and teams from all over the United States that compete.

A track & field program of events and registration form is sent to all athletes to be completed.

The events take place at the Griffith University Gold Coast Campus. Their track was purposely built as a practice venue for countries preparing for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
