History:
The Down Under International Games began in 1998. Volleyball was introduced into the program in 1999. There are volleyball players and teams from all over the United States that compete. The 2009 Down Under Volleyball tournament will be the 11th year.
Participation:
- Teams will play in a beach volleyball tournament.
- Teams play in a two day tournament. Teams play 10 games each:
- Day one – 6 games
- Day two – 4 games
- International Rules
- Australian Officials
- Teams from Australia compete.
- A volleyball team consists of 10 participants
Awards:
- Trophy/ Gold Medals – 1st
- Silver Medals – 2nd
- Bronze Medals – 3rd
