Wrestling has been a part of the Down Under Sports program since 1998 and includes competitors from the United States, Australia and New Zealand. This year the USA wrestling team will travel to New Zealand and spend 4 days competing and sightseeing. After the Freestyle Individual and Team Dual Meets, the team will travel to the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia for Beach Wrestling and more sightseeing.

One offical weigh-in is done before the first tournament using the USA Junior Weight Classes: 98, 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285.
Results are posted using Track Wrestling so that friends and family back home can view the results immediately. Wrestling mats will be set up for practice prior to the international tournament.
Medals and trophies will be presented at the Down Under Sports Awards Dinner.
