Wrestling has been a part of the Down Under Sports program since 1998 and includes competitors from the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. Wrestlers will first participate in a Beach Wrestling Tournament on Surfers Paradise Beach, which is a warm up for the International Freestyle Individual and Team Dual Tournaments. One official weigh-in is done before the first tournament using the USA Junior Weight Classes: 98, 103, 112, 119, 125, 139, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, 285. Results are posted using Track Wrestling so that friends and family back home can view the results immediately. Wrestling mats will be set up for practice prior to the international tournament.
Medals and trophies will be presented at the Down Under Sports Awards Dinner.
