History :

The Down Under International Games began in 1998. Cross Country was one of the original sports to be a part of the Games. There are athletes and teams from all over the United States that compete. The 2009 Down Under Cross Country meet will be the 12th year for this sport.

Participation:

  • There are two cross country meets that take place. There is an International Cross Country Meet, USA vs. AUSTRALIA . Then there is an All American Meet.
  • A Cross Country team consists of 16 participants
Award Ceremony:
  • Gold Medal – 1 st
  • Silver Medal – 2 nd
  • Bronze – 3 rd
  • Everyone will receive a participation medal.
