- Personal and Legal information will be submitted to airline vendors, such as Qantas and American Airlines, when booking flights for Down Under Sports' tournament participants
- Names, Ages, and other legal information will be submitted to Mantra Hotels when booking lodging for Down Under Sports' tournament participants
- Legal information will be submitted to Insurance Providers, should a Down Under Sports participant choose to add travel insurance to their travel package
- Passport Information will be used to obtain travel visas for entering Australia for any and all Down Under Sports tournament participants
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like any other website, DownUnderSports.com uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to track website authentication. Cookies are only stored upon logging into a valid downundersports.com user account. Cookies saved by DownUnderSports.com' store information including visitors' preferences, assigned package/balance information, and current progress in the Down Under Sports Registration Process inside your browser. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by avoiding excessive data usage and customizing web page content.
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
DownUnderSports.com does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13, excepting information required to provide travel services for the Down Under Sports Tournaments. If your child is not traveling with Down Under Sports and you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
Data Protection Policies
DownUnderSports.com servers are placed under strict security policys and protection to shield Customer Data from unauthorized access.
DownUnderSports.com can only be accessed through the HTTP over TLS protocol (HTTPS). The principal motivation for HTTPS is authentication of the accessed website and protection of the privacy and integrity of the exchanged data. It protects against man-in-the-middle attacks. The bidirectional encryption of communications between a client and server protects against eavesdropping and tampering of the communication. Storage and Access
All customer data is stored in a secure SQL server separated from the DownUnderSports.com application server. All data submissions and requests for access are authorized and filtered by a secondary server that cannot be accessed from outside of the DownUnderSports.com servers' internal network. All Down Under Sports' employees are restricted from direct access to any Customer Data. Any access to Customer Data is always done through preset channels created by Down Under Sports' IT staff. In the event of a security breach of DownUnderSports.com, any customer data can and will be immediately cut off from access by the offending server.
